I recently took some live shots of Testament when they came to Cleveland with Anthrax and Death Angel. It was a really good show and nice to see such a metal-thrashing mad line-up. I got there just as Death Angel was going on and hardly got any shots of them but luckily was able to push through the packed house to shoot both Testament and Anthrax. It's always nice to capture a classic

Basquiat candles

Window shopping in Paris brought me to these de-Light-ful candles decorated with the art of one of my inspirations, Jean-Michel Basquiat. I tend to think that he would have had some appreciation for them in a weird "I'm successful" way. But more than likely he would have had criticisms and improvements he would have demanded. He was one of a kind.

This is a picture of a beautiful girl that was working at Hove Festival in Norway. (I'm embarrassed to admit I've since forgotten her name.) But she was making these delicious Norwegian waffles from scratch and didn't mind my multiple returns. I enjoy this shot and thought I would share it. So I'm feeling the new Gaga Rolling Stone cover shot by Ryan McGinley. The approach of the cover shot feels candid, although completely not at the same time. I'm gushing over the beautiful color palette and simple composition. The color cast of her skin is flawless with the strawberry blonde hair. Very portraiture and presumably ironic.
